KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE APP (12/22/10)
Hi the app is currently having a problem with the server certificate. The app may not be usable during this time. I am working on a fix for this . Apologies for the inconvenience. I am hoping to have a solution by EOD.

Providing Vonage US users ability to make calls without call forwarding. Now providing a call back number. First the call back number will ring. Once this call is picked up, the destination call is connected . Ability to use old style call forwarding also provided as an option. If one method does not work, it helps to have an alternate method.

USAGE
username : Enter username to your Vonage Web Account
(phone number will not work , you can find username from vonage website)
password : Enter password to your Vonage Web Account
Phone Number : Can be typed in or picked up from Contacts using Address Book button.
number formats : for US users
international :
011 followed by country code followed by phone number : 011YYYxxxxxxxxxx
or + followed by country code followed by phone number : +YYYxxxxxxxxx
number formats : for UK users
international
00 followed by country code followed by phone number : 00YYYxxxxxxxxxx
Cancel forwarding after call.
Select this setting if you dont want to restore call forwarding/Simulring after the call is over. After the call is over, your home phone will ring on incoming calls.
Restore Settings from Website After call
Select this setting if you want the app to read the current forwarding/Simulrung setting from Vonage website and restore the settings after the call is over. After the call is over, your incoming calls will be routed as per previous Forward/Simulring settings.
Wait Seconds before call connect
This configurable setting determines how many seconds the app will give between setting call forward and actually connecting the call. It is beneficial to set a higher number for this is the home number keeps ringing or going to voice mail rather than forwarding to the dialed number.
Number of rings
This configurable number determines how many times the home phone will ring before call is forwarded to the dialed number.
How it works
1 .On the setup tab Enter username , password, number to call and press "Save". If you have more than one line on your vonage account, you will get a popup to select the number to use. Select the vonage world number that you want to use.
2. On the phone tab enter number to call or select number from address book. App takes a few moments to setup the call.
3. The app then dials your vonage number using your cell phone network.
4. The call will then be automatically forwarded to your destination number and you can talk from your cell phone.

6. If the app is unable to cancel forwarding, you will see a message on the screen. You can click "Reset" to cancel forwarding manually.

Known Issues
1. Some times even after the call is complete, calling vonage number redirects call to previously dialled number - Added "Reset Forwarding" button to force cancel forwarding.
2. You will need to enter username to the setup screen, phone number in the username field will not work. You can find your username in the Account section of your Vonage website.
3. App Force closes on Android 1.5 phones - Fixed 7/31.

TroubleShooting
Login not working : You will need to enter username to the setup screen, phone number in the username field will not work. You can find your username in the Account section of your Vonage website.
Important Notes
Cell phone minutes will be charged.
Not all destination countries / numbers are free to call. Please refer Vonage for the list.
After call is connected, the app tries to cancel forwarding. App needs data connection to be available for this operation. In case data network is not available (like if you are on an EDGE network , or you move to an area with no 3G or wifi network) the app is unable to cancel forwarding. You will have to come back to the app screen and click "Reset" in this case.
You have to be in the US or UK to make use of this app. Not tested from other countries. Using form other countries will definitely bring roaming charges. Developer not responsible for the charges.
US Vonage account must be used from cell phones in US and UK vonage account must be used to cell phones in UK. Using from other countries could lead to roaming charges
